New York Highlights Tour with Harlem and/or Lower Manhattan - 4 or more hours
This tour
will take you by coach, or other private transportation, through the Theatre district and Times Square, Bryant Park, Radio City Music Hall, Fabulous 5th Avenue, The Apple Store, Plaza Hotel, CBS-TV studios, FAO Schwartz, Tiffany’s, Trump Towers, World of Disney, NBA store, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, home of NBC-TV studios, the famous skating rink, Top of the Rock, and Chrystie’s Auction House, Columbus Circle, Time-Warner Center, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Dakota apartment building, Central Park, Upper Westside, Harlem, Museum Mile, great mansions of 5th Ave., the designer shops of 5th Ave, Empire State Building, Flatiron Building and much more!
By arrangement, variations of this tour can include lower Manhattan or a more in depth Harlem experience.
Harlem - 2 to 4 hours
The uptown Mecca of gospel music, jazz, hip-hop and soul food. Home of the Apollo Theatre, The Cotton Club, The Abyssinian Baptist Church, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Columbia University, Sugar Hill, The Theresa Hotel, Mdme. C.J. Walker’s Beauty School, the Harlem YMCA, Rucker Park and the Brownstone. Rich in culture, this is the part of the city that jumps – day & night.
Harlem Gospel Tour - 4 hours
We head uptown and enter the gateway to the Village of Harlem, one of the most intriguing communities of New York. Legends accompany its landmarks, including the campus of City College, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the Apollo Theatre, the Cotton Club, the Malcolm Shabazz Mosque, Striver's Row, the Abyssinian Baptist Church, Rucker Park. While visiting the charming neighborhoods of Sugar Hill, Hamilton Grange, Jumel Terrace and others, you will learn the history and contributions of Harlem's residents, past and present. We then enter a church to attend a typical worship service and to experience the sights and sounds of moving gospel music. We finally return to midtown or a prearranged location to end the tour.
Harlem Gospel Tour with Gospel Brunch - 6 hours
This tour is identical to the 4 hour Harlem Gospel Tour with the addition of a delicious soul-food brunch with live gospel music.
New York Photo Opts Safari - 4 to 6 hours
Bring your cameras for this one (disposables are okay)! We will have fun as we move about the city to well known landmarks as well as areas where you will see the diversity that New York is known for. We know the off-the-beaten-path locations. You will take pictures to record the rich cultures of the city as we hop off, shoot and hop back on. You will end up with cherished and unique photos documenting your trip to "The Big Apple".
Shopping – time and price by arrangement
On public or private transportation, we take you through the shopping haunts of New York City where New Yorkers shop. Depending on your desires, we have at our disposal choices from lower Manhattan to Harlem. Just tell us what you want and we will take you to places where you will have the best selection and the best prices. From designer wear to shopping for the home, from women’s to men’s fashions, from accessories to gift items, we know where to go.

GUIDED WALKING TOURS: 2 – 4 hours
Lower Manhattan
Walk through the historic streets of the financial district. See first-hand the financial capital of the world. Visit Wall St, the NY Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (the original White House), the Federal Reserve Bank, Trinity Church (from the movie, National Treasure) and the first church built in New York. See Battery Park, the home of Castle Clinton, which was originally a fort surrounded by water. See the first park in New York, Bowling Green. Enter the World Financial Center and get a bird’s eye view of the footprint of the World Trade Center. See Ground ”0” up close. Enter St. Paul’s Chapel, the triage center during the World Trade Center disaster. (Moderate activity)
The Grand 3: Lincoln Center, Central Park, Rockefeller Center
This tour starts at Lincoln Center, one of the largest performing arts centers in the U.S. Home to such renowned institutions as the Julliard School, The New York State Theatre, where “The Nutcracker” is traditionally performed. The Metropolitan Opera House, Avery Fisher Hall and the NYC Public Library for the Performing Arts. Walk over to Central Park, one of the largest urban parks in the U.S. En route see the famed Tavern on the Green, Dakota, the first luxury apartment building on the upper Westside. Visit the John Lennon memorial while exploring the flora and fauna of the park. Visit the Bethesda Fountain, the centerpiece of Central Park. Walking south we will pass the 100 + year old carousel and pass through the Nature Conservancy. Exit the park on to fabulous 5th Ave. lined with designer shops & themed stores. Stroll pass St. Patrick’s Cathedral and enter Rockefeller Center. Once an herb farm, this business center is the largest in NYC and home of the famous skating rink. It is also where you will find the tallest Christmas tree during the holiday season. Beware, you may just end up on TV, since this is the home of the NBC studios where the Today Show and some of your other favorites are broadcast.

Central Park
This tour starts at the American Museum of Natural History. You will see the Diana Ross playground, the Joe Papp Shakespeare Theatre, and Belvedere Castle (home of New York’s weather station). We will explore the Rambles, take photos from The Bow Bridge, and visit the Bethesda Fountain (from “Home Alone”, “Barefoot in the Park” and “Friends”). You will see the sailboat pond from ”Stewart Little”, stroll down Literary Row and stop by the 100+ year old hand-carved carousel. You will see the newly renovated Heckscher ball fields, where the stars play. We will walk along the shoreline of the nature sanctuary as we exit the park and end the tour.(Moderate activity)
Theatre District
Encompassing the area around Broadway from 40th to 54th Sts., we will walk through the streets and alley-ways of this former Longacre Square. We will see landmark theatres of yesteryear along with the studios of ABC-TV, MTV and ESPN. You will see the many Broadway theatres within the side streets. Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Café will be on our route. We will visit several of the themed stores such as Hershey and M and M’s.. You will see the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where the Letterman Show is broadcast. Hello Deli and the Soup Nazi’s kitchen will be on our path. We will see the shops along Music Row, where the Broadway musician shop for their instruments and accessories. You will see #1 Times Square where the famous ball drops to usher in each new year. Lights, lights & more lights will light our way as we move through the plasma-lined streets of this star-studded Times Square/ Broadway theatre district area. Who knows, we may even bump into a star.

Chinatown & Little Italy
This tour walks you through the narrow bustling streets of Chinatown Each of the streets in Chinatown possesses its own distinctive personality. Whether characterized by their stores and restaurants or their unique size and shape, the streets of Chinatown provide a fascinating cultural experience. Often overlooked, Chinatown is the site of a rich history that not only tells the story of the Chinese-American experience, but also that of early Irish, Jewish and Italian immigrants. We will walk along Mulberry St., which epitomizes the outdoor café style still prominent in Italy. This was one of Don Corleone’s shopping routes and will be the areas where we will stop for some tasty Italian treats (not included in cost of tour). Today, remnants of the neighborhood's European-American ancestry stand side-by-side with more recent Asian-inspired landmarks. (Moderate activity)
Brooklyn Bridge & Brooklyn Heights – 4-6 hours*
Our walk will take us across The Brooklyn Bridge, one of the oldest suspension bridges in the U.S, over the East River connecting the Manhattan and Brooklyn. On completion, it was the largest suspension bridge in the world and the first steel-wire suspension bridge. Since its opening, it has become an iconic part of the New York skyline. In 1964 it was designated a National Historic Landmark. From the bridge you will see lower Manhattan, Governor’s Island, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, the Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges, Roosevelt Island, Staten Island, the 59th St. Bridge and you will have a panoramic view of Brooklyn. It was from this location that the films Spiderman and the Fantastic 4 were set. Upon exiting the bridge, we will walk on to the narrow streets of Brooklyn Heights, a historic community that was easily accessible by ferry before the Brooklyn Bridge was built. We will pass century old brownstones, townhouses and churches. This area was an integral part of the Underground Railroad during slavery. Quaint boutiques line the major arteries. We will walk on the promenade where we will have fantastic views of the lower Manhattan skyline and see the area where a number of the Bill Cosby Show segments were filmed. Group will then take the subway back to Brooklyn Bridge stop where tour began in Manhattan. *Time varies depending on the group’s ability to move efficiently.

Eastside: Grand Central, UN, Rockefeller Center
Tour starts on the steps of the Astor Library, main branch of the New York City Public Library system. We then head east to explore Manhattan’s Eastside. We will visit Grand Central Station, see the Chrysler building, the United Nations, the Trump United Nations Plaza, the late Katherine Hepburn’s home, the Citicorp building, the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Park Avenue, and Rockefeller Center, home of NBC-TV studios, Top of the Rock, the Chrystie’s Auction House, the famed Skating Rink and the Tallest Christmas tree in the state during the holiday season. Tour will end here.

Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Tour begins at the flagpole inside Castle Clinton, which is inside Battery Park. We will then board the Ferry, which will take us to Liberty Island, home of the famous Lady Liberty. We will visit the island to get information and for picture taking. We then board another ferry headed to Ellis Island, where we will visit the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. You will do genealogy research on your families at the wall of honor and on the computers, visit the great hall and registry area, where immigrants were processed, walk through the photo galleries and possibly see a documentary film. We will board another ferry headed for the island of Manhattan. Our tour will end in Battery Park. (Light activity)
Greenwich Village – 4 hours or more
For over 100 years, this small area below 14th Street and west of Broadway has been a Mecca to the creative, rebellious and Bohemian. We will walk through this historic Neighborhood with it’s array of brownstones, artsy shops and quaint cafes.. The location where Jimi Hendrix built the Electric Lady sound studios; Where Barbara Streisand debuted at the Bon Soir, where Richard Pryor performed weekly at the Village Gate, and where Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney founded the Whitney Museum, where Lenny Bruce read his poetry, where Edgar Allen Poe lived and where Andy Warhol and Lou Reed created the citadel of Hippiedom at the Electric Circus on St Marks Place. We will visit Washington Square Park, where George Washington’s inauguration took place and pass through the urban campus of New York University. The Triangle Building will be one of our stops. We will experience this old but new neighborhood. (Moderate activity)
